Numerous problems on transportation routes in middle Germany. Elbe is still navigable.

With the beginning of December heavy snow fall and strong winds have caused obstruction of traffic by road, rail and air. In large parts of Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt the traffic situation has now calmed down, but restrictions on the rail will be expected to continue.

First ice formations were found in the Elbe ports. But there are no disabilities due to the winter. More information on the latest ice conditions on the inland waterways can be found at this link.
