RISING software tool ready for public usage – free of charge.

From today Elbe Promotion Center provides online access to a software solution which can check basic feasibility of a specific cargo at Elbe waterway. This tool takes cargo dimensions into account (height, length, width, weight) and calculates an applicable route to next possible inland port between point of origin and destination. This is possible for German and Czech part along river Elbe. To identify the best possible transport solution different types of vessels are integrated in that system. Both virtual and real cargo data you are able to enter and let the software check.

Beside specific cargo information further data is integrated to calculations. Expected waterway conditions will be estimated and vertical clearance under bridges are also included. Instead of figuring out possible uploading depths manually this software tool does this for you automatic. It compares the resulting vessel information to expected water depths at Elbe river. To manage this user is just asked to determine a time frame his transport should proceed.
